Aedas was invited to submit a masterplanning, architectural, interior and landscape design proposal for the resort. Enjoying a 72% green area ratio, the resort consists of 200 standard guest rooms and 31 deluxe villas. In order to maximise the prevalent breeze, the hotel’s masterplanning adopted an open courtyard configuration to induce free air movement between the buildings. Due to the intense heat in the region, shading devices were introduced in the building design. Stacked lattice-work external screens known as mashrabiyyah have been designed to filter cool air into the rooms.
