St Andrews High School

Coatbridge, UK

St. Andrew’s High School is the largest of 3 secondary schools within the 17 school North Lanarkshire Education 2010 PPP project, of which Aedas were responsible for 2 secondary and 8 primary schools.

A Roman Catholic school, designed to cater for 1350 pupils from 1st to 6th year, it shares its site with one of its feeder primary schools, St. Timothy’s, which was re-built as part of the same project. St. Andrew’s High was built on existing playing fields and open space adjacent to the existing primary school. Rosehall High School also occupies part of the site, but will be demolished to make way for grass pitches once the last of the 3 secondary schools is completed and the pupils have moved to their new school.
