Pool Business Innovation Centre

Aedas was commissioned in late 2005 to design a new business incubation centre in Pool, Cornwall. The proposed design creates flexible and varied office space for new businesses in the I.T. sector, predominately in software development. The design focused on achieving high standards of internal environmental quality and comfort utilising natural ventilation and day light. The building provides shared meeting, conference and social spaces which encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. A simple and effective I.T. strategy is integrated into the building, minimising the impact on internal comfort (heat and noise) by server equipment and allowing for maximum future proofing.
