MTRC Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal
Hong Kong
The Ngong Ping 360 (including the Cable Car Terminals, Themed Village and Landscaped Piazza) provides the final destination for the Tung Chung Cable Car comprising 2 Terminals and 2 Angle Stations. The dynamic curved roof of the Tung Chung terminal provides a dramatic gateway to the cable car. The angle stations are located within the Lantau Country park and are designed to be unobtrusive within the landscape.
The ride ends at a discreet terminal located adjacent to the Themed Village at Ngong Ping. The Themed Village comprises a Buddhist Interpretive Centre, theatres; museums, retail and restaurants. Adjacent to the Themed Village is the Landscaped Piazza of about 16,000m2 site area with a monumental corridor and Chinese Garden. It is designed to provide an atmosphere of serenity and peace.
The Piazza along with the Ngong Ping Themed Village integrates with the adjoining Buddha Statue and Po Lin Monastery to create a focal point in Ngong Ping as a monastic icon.
