The purpose of this project was to outfit the firm’s new office in a contemporary manner that reflects the current directions of the design industry. Aedas wanted to design its 5,208 sqm office with foresight, ensuring that future layout changes could be conveniently achievedwith minimal disruption to structural elements and company operations. Flexibility is one of the scheme’s central themes. All interior components - walls, doors, desks, shelving and cabinets – are modular, allowing for easy reconfiguration of the floorplan and work areas. The benefit of such an approach is apparent in the case of staff adjustments. An office completely comprising modular units enables workstations and even enclosed offices to be shifted, added or extracted without requiring major structural changes. In addition, Aedas wanted to demonstrate its leading position in the industry as an architecture and design firm by devising and realising a thoughtful design scheme that is both functionally sound and aesthetically appealing. The firm specifically selected furniture by renowned designers and design houses including sofas, chairs and light fixtures in recognition of other vanguards in the industry.
